I came upon something very interesting this evening. Sitting comfortably in my chair I decided to type 17 weeks into "Google" and see what popped up. In the blink of an eye I was staring blankly at page that proclaimed "17 weeks = 119 days Results 1 - 10 of about 316,000,000 for 17 weeks. (0.13 seconds)" Wow... It was rather overwhelming to say the least, scrolling downward, getting lost in numerous random snippets of advice. What does it all mean, what's going on here?
This is all very bizarre, peering through this tiny doorway into a vast and frightening world. Something resembling Dr. Seuss characters prancing on the other side. Very bizarre indeed! Just a minute!? I didn't type in anything about infants or pregnancy! I merely typed 17 weeks and was bombarded with information on exactly what I was thinking... very bizarre indeed!
Well then which one should we look at then? This one seems to be littered with scientific calculations, and flow charts. That one seems to be from the journalistic standpoint of a early twenties single mom, writing articles to pay for her masters in psychology. (Although I found her section on pregnant dreams rather intriguing!) Another promised to teach me belly dancing in just 17 weeks! What does it all mean?
From this side of the doorway things feel pretty safe, although the warming glow from beyond is inviting! I think I'll take my time to ponder this transition for awhile. Time is what it really boils down to in the long run. Things move quickly and if you don't stop to appreciate them once in awhile you get lost in it all. Amongst the 316,000,000 results that are trying to know what you are thinking. Very bizarre indeed!

Just if you are curious, the image in this post is MyCn18 an hourglass nebula found somewhere in the depths of space. The sands of time are running out for the central star of this hourglass-shaped planetary nebula. With its nuclear fuel exhausted, this brief, spectacular, closing phase of a Sun-like star's life occurs as its outer layers are ejected - its core becoming a cooling, fading white dwarf. Here, delicate rings of colorful glowing gas (nitrogen blue) outline the tenuous walls of the "hourglass".
